Winter on the North Shore

A bit late to post these, as spring has already sprung! These photos were captured on a trip up north. My husband and I wanted to experience the North Shore in the winter.

We spotted this mom and baby deer on a trail in Gooseberry Falls State Park, after another hiker told us they were grazing contentedly just a few feet from the trail ahead. Without running into that specific hiker, we probably would not have even noticed them in their little hollow.

There were many other gorgeous views, including this lovely shot of floating ice chunks at Canal Park. It was a wonderful trip, and we love seeing our favorite Minnesota location looking so different and alien to us.
