I work at a beautiful camp in central Minnesota, but you would be surprised how rarely I get out to explore the beauty of the grounds. This past weekend, I was enjoying a quilt retreat (attempting to finish a quilt I started over half a year ago), and took a hike to one of my favorite spots at camp with a couple of friends.
This spot is called The Point. A little peninsula of land jutting out into a spring fed lake. We looked out at the glassy, almost-frozen surface of the water, and caught a glimpse of the sun lighting up the tamaracks.
My favorite place at camp – still full of surprises.
P.S. I talk about another fun hike at a different camp in my last blog post – November Ends – Fall Photography.
